Good mediators are like Cub Scouts: they are helpful. My experience allows me to be helpful to parties in a variety of disputes. As a litigator, I have assisted clients with employment matters, and business matters generally (commercial, corporate, and contract disputes), assisted shareholders, partners, LLC members, executors, administrators, trustees, other fiduciaries and agents in a wide range of legal contexts including will and trust contests, shareholder disputes, corporate and other entity dissolution proceedings, power of attorney abuse, alleged breach of fiduciary duty and funeral or burial rights. A veteran trust and estates litigator with significant experience, I am routinely called upon to assist clients in the often complex area of trust and estate litigation. I am a trained neutral mediator and arbitrator and I believe that my unique background and multidisciplinary skill set allow me to relate to and be helpful to all parties, using practical human experience and good-humored empathy to help foster agreements that adhere to the needs of both sides. I began my legal career at a large New York City law firm, representing clients before trial and appellate courts. As a litigator, I often use mediation as a tool to achieve my client's goals in my law practice. (And my Cub Scout plaque still hangs on my wall over 40 years later.)
